Phonebook carvings by Cuban artist Alex Queral. Finally, somebody put phonebooks to good use.

Taking an ordinary phone book, Alex Queral carves a face into this object of so many faceless names. With the book, a very sharp X-ACTO® knife, a little pot of acrylic medium to set detail areas and a great deal of talent, Queral literally peels away the pages like the skin of an onion to reveal the portrait within.

Wow! That’s crazy. How do you even find out that you can do this? That is amazing!

If I could reblog this every second of every day… I would.

There are no words for how wonderful I feel at this second

#Father you are a quality man

((Best. Priest. EVAR.))

This really touched my heart. Im crying.

Beautiful.

Seriously though, has no-one heard of GCN?! Some people…
But this man. Bless him.

This guy deserves his own fanclub for so many reasons.

I will high-five this priest so hard.

This is awesome! Very proud of him! :)

GIVEAWAY| GIVEAWAY| GIVEAWAY
I have reached a milestone of 5000 followers, and to celebrate this, I am having a small giveaway!
This time I’m going to give away The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, with an introduction by Mark Gatiss.

The hit BBC series Sherlock offers a fresh, contemporary take on the classic Sir Arthur Conan Doyle stories, and has helped introduce a whole new generation of fans to the legendary detective. In this new edition of Conan Doyle’s first collection of short stories, Sherlock co-creator Mark Gatiss explains how these gripping tales inspired and influenced the new series.Sherlock: The Adventures contains twelve short stories first published in The Strand magazine between 1891 and 1892 and then published as a collection in October 1892. It includes some of Conan Doyle’s best tales of murder and mystery, such as ‘The Adventures of the Speckled Band’, in which the strange last words of a dying woman ‘It was the band, the speckled band!’ and a inexplicable whistling in the night are the only clues Sherlock Holmes has to prevent another murder; and ‘The Five Orange Pips’, in which an untimely death and the discovery of the letter containing five orange pips lead to a cross-Atlantic conspiracy.

THE RULES ARE SIMPLE:
Reblog to participate! (No maximum number of reblogs, but let’s be realistic)
I will pick a random winner on the 1st of February
I’ll ship it to anywhere in the world
You don’t have to, but I would love to see some funny/interesting comments. It makes it so much more fun to go through the reblogs in the end. ^_^ Good luck!

Woot!
Congratulations btw ^_^!
